Ashes
Well, well, well... Australia lost and the big man found his stage at Lords. It was a good match. Good to see Australia defeated and Ponting rubbed on the wrong side. Lets see how this series progresses!

Will there be some sense
in anything that this government does? No as discussed here
Nothing good comes up in their economic or foreign policy. Don't know what the situation will be in five years of such incompetence.

There has been wide spread
anger over how Man Mohan Singh has issued a joint statement with Pakistan. From what I know the anger is very justified!
Anyway, who cares! People of India want a secular party who rules the country with no care for the economy nor its sovereignty. They ensure that innocent people will continuously die because of Pakistan based terrorism. Why don't they car? Because they know they will be in power! Thats what matters to Congress and Gandhi dynasty suckers!

As I sit here
and work at this time I realize today's conversation has raised so many questions that it makes me cringe! Did I misread everything? Could I be so wrong? And if so is my anger not justified? I mean how can a person say those things after such a long time and expect to take it at face value. Am I the only person who will feel that way. I mean if I narrate the story to anybody all I can hear is real angry words for the other person!
Anyway!
Anyway!

Ashes
is going on and guess what the British haven't stopped talking/writing/blogging/twittering (take your pick) since last month. After the first test had an amazing end don't expect them to stop either!
Tim de Lisle looks at the most important thing for England .. obviously their team here
Pretty damn critical but mostly true he is!

Has been sometime
since I blogged recently. For different reasons have been stressed way too much to blog.
The fact that I am back on the blog does not mean I am not stressed but I have accepted that stress is here to stay. So I better accept it and bring my life to normalcy!
Lets see!

Gavaskar's analogy
on why sledging shouldn't be a part of cricket (from here).
What do I think? No idea :P
The Roger Federer versus Andy Roddick 2009 Wimbledon final was an epic game. If Roddick serves at 120 miles per hour, Federer trying to hit a backhand gets the top edge of the racket and the ball lands on the baseline, allowing Federer to get an absolutely fluky lucky point. Would Roddick abuse Federer because of the luck that he has? Then why should a bowler stand at his end and abuse a batsman who got an inside edge that went to the boundary, or who played and missed half a dozen times? Federer and Roddick are playing for a major title and for millions of pounds, for rankings and stuff like that. Why should it be different in cricket? Why go for wild abuse in a match? That's wrong. The game will be better off without all this. It's also a bad influence on young, upcoming players watching on television.

Review of the Budget
Not so great according to the reports here, here, here!
An excerpt on how funding on NREGA might not be in the right direction from the third piece
An excerpt on how funding on NREGA might not be in the right direction from the third piece
The most dangerous announcement on Monday was the increase in daily wage under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) to Rs100 per day. NREGA should be a safety net, not a hammock. Yet, the revised wage levels bring it very close to crowding out private employment in rural areas. Moreover, NREGA represents a misplaced focus on rural consumption rather than rural productivity. India’s transition from farm to non-farm will not be accomplished by NREGA-like make-work programmes—where people dig with spoons rather than shovels—but rather with a focus on improving the habitat for job creation and human capital. The explosion of NREGA expenditure and the roll-out of social security for the unorganized sector represent demographic insanity: Despite their political attractiveness, these could end up badly and permanently distorting the labour market.

What can I say?
From an article on Wimbledon here
He finished off the match with a slam-dunk smash reminiscent of Pete Sampras, one of the few players still to hold a record Federer has yet to break. But as that record is seven Wimbledon titles, the best advice is ... give it time.Simply stunning! Yet I might not be rooting for Fed!
Wimbledon
Well the Wimbledon final is decided. Its Andy Roddick versus Roger Federer.
Who am I supporting? For the first time in many years I will be rooting for someone other than Federer. I will support Andy Roddick. He has lost three times to Federer (twice in finals). I hope this is the year he can win his Wimbledon. I am not betraying Fed fan club. Its just that Federer has time to win more grandslams but Roddick will not get one more chance to win a Wimbledon!
