What can you do?

All you can do is be happy for whatever materialized and carry on. The choice is clear. I myself made it in the past. So, I know (better than most people) that it is the same choice I would have made in those circumstances. So, its only a matter of accepting it and helping each other through the difficult period.

Lets see!

Somethings

bother you a lot. You don't know how to address it. I hope I can learn to understand myself better because of this experience. It has been very hard personally. Even getting a perspective in life does not help. If you are affected you are affected. Accepting that is better than just trying to mask your problem. Lets see how this goes! The ironical part is this won't be the last time and surely not the longest time. Its only a little more than a week and I so hassled. Don't know how it will feel when it becomes permanent!

Anyway.. have to get work done!

Wht can you do?

Not much! Thats what makes it harder!

Well

It has been 3 days since I smiled when I was alone. There are many reasons. The runs I have to complete for work have been giving me interesting problems that I can do without and of course there is that. Anyway, so far I managed to hold myself (not as well as I wanted) for the 72 hours. I hope the runs wont cause too many problems over the next 150 hours. Moreover, I hope its all worth the effort. If it is not you surely will see me again here complaining.
Well, what can i say. For now I have a paper to content with.

Negativity

There is way too much negativity in my life. I need to address that!

Hmmmm

Its over. This time for sure.
Well, it was a great ride that can't be described in words. Unfortunately, it has to come to an end. Well, what the hell most good things do. I understand myself much better because what I went through. It was a very enriching experience. But one that might leave with a "what if" feeling for a while. May be in 6 months or so I will look at it differently. But as of now I will try to tough it out.
Lets see how the future pans out!

Unfortunate

Its really unfortunate there are times when I lose perspective in life so much so that every little problem I face seems to be the toughest problem in the world.
Anyway there are events that bring you back to reality that you are a damn lucky person with very little issues in life!

Well

Its crunch time!

NREGS

will only get worse it seems. With congress at the helm? I don't expect anything less!

Health Care

plans of Obama seem to be running into very stiff opposition. See articles here, here, here for examples.

Seeing "somethings"

are really hard. Having to see it happen to "somebody" is harder. Reasoning that you have a role to play in the misery is hardest!

Oh yes

the turbulent times have not eased and at this point I am not really keen on them easing!
Anyway!

Is it a little too harsh

May be!
The plan to reduce pollution in Kolkota seems to be a bad decision!

Finally a sensible piece

on the drug issue by Mukul Kesavan

Turbulent times

These are some turbulent times for sure. I will see what will happen!

Impressive quote

on captaincy from Richie Benaud
In Richie Benaud's much-repeated words, captaincy is ninety percent luck and ten percent skill, but "don't try it without that ten percent." No piece on captaincy is complete without the Benaud quote.

An interesting

article on the RBI governors here

Good to know that we have had some really smart central bankers!

Are they being premature

only time and more importantly the results of the next two test matches will tell!
Well, I am talking about the Ashes. The English are making fun of the Aussies (that I really enjoy) but I am just not too sure its right to start so early. I mean shouldn't we wait until the fat lady sings??

Anyway, one more piece in the above vein by Tim de Lisle here.

Richie Benaud

Only the real followers of cricket would know how good a leg spinner and captain Benaud was. Gideon Haigh here describes in detail the reasons why Benaud is not more popular as a cricketer.
A nice excerpt
"Did you ever play cricket for Australia, Mr Benaud?" In his On Reflection, Richie Benaud recalls being asked this humbling question by a "fair-haired, angelic little lad of about 12", one of a group of six autograph seekers who accosted him at the SCG "one December evening in 1982".

I could have that 12 year old lad when I too was 12.

I really admire some of those things he says in the commentary box. In a group of Australian biased commentators he is the sane voice!

Yesterday

was so good I just still can't believe it. I got the work done and also got to spend some really really great time with people I care for here. It was amazing. Simply too good!
Some of those things I never thought I would like. But I really do!
Anyway.. today is a day to just unwind...
