Oil prices,
which had dipped below the $140 per barrel level earlier this week, hit
new highs above $147 this morning. The rise, of greater than $5 per
barrel, was seemingly driven by new sabre rattling over Iran. The Jerusalem Post reported today that Israeli planes had been practicing over Iraq.
