Comment on Rushdie's new book

The lit putdown of the day comes from Jessa Crispin, writing about “The Enchantress of Florence”:

Reading the sex scenes is sort of like watching your
father flirt with a waitress your own age—you feel really bad for
everyone involved.


That just about nails it. Er, no pun intended.
