Well, Ricky Ponting

I was worried Ricky Ponting will prove himself. He did it in style. You have to give it to him. His record in India is poor. What the hell even Shane Warne might have a better record as a batsman. But today, like all great champions do, at the time when Australia needed him he scored a very confident hundred. Now this will ensure he will retire with no more questions on his ability to play spin. Eventually he will overtake Tendulkar too. And in my opinion he deserves to! Don't get me wrong I do not like Ponting the person, but as a batsman he is very very good. I particularly like his performances when it matters (remember the WC 2003 final?). Rising to the occassion hasn't come easy to his contemporary legends!
